6-Hydroxysalicylic Acid, is used in biological studies to evaluate the microbial metabolism of various sources of polyphenols in colon area.

Main applications: Pesticide synthesis: It is an indispensable core intermediate for the synthesis of various pyrimidine salicylic acid herbicides (such as bispyribac-sodium, pyrimisulfuron, pyrimisulfuron, pyrimisulfuron, etc.). Pharmaceuticals and materials: It has both phenolic and acidic reactivity and is also used in the synthesis of fine chemicals and photoinitiators.
